Message that bad. Almost everybody has synchro problems. I just replaced an old trans w/ only 48K miles that had a first to second grind. Pitiful.

The new one is taking a little time to break in. It is still a little notchy between gears and a slight whine as the gears mate and mesh. I have about a hundred miles now, and it is just now becoming smooth, and beginning to quiet down.

I really like the positive gear shift feel, and having a trans that shifts up and down, without waiting between gears for the gearsets to catch up with each other. Well worth the $2k shipped. gordo
